Hi, I’m Jingying (Crystal) Deng — an artist, game designer, and researcher exploring how emotion, interaction, and imagination shape learning.
From stitching futures with computational quilting to building AI-enhanced game worlds, I blend art and science to create experiences that are not only beautiful but meaningful. My work bridges human-computer interaction, educational technology, and visual storytelling — always asking: How can we design to feel, connect, and grow?
I design and conduct user research using mixed methods — from surveys (PANAS, ICC) to biometric tools like EEG and EDA — to explore how people learn, feel, and engage with interactive systems. My strength lies in translating complex data into actionable design insights.
With a background in game design, UX, and visual storytelling, I build interactive experiences that are both meaningful and beautiful. From AI-enhanced chatbots to VR learning environments, I prototype using tools like Unreal Engine, Procreate, and HTML/CSS.
I share my work through exhibitions, academic papers, and live demos — always reflecting on impact, inclusion, and user empowerment. My delivery isn’t just a product — it’s a platform for learning and imagination.
